What can one do when one’s greatest impediment is one’s SCRUM-Master

I’ve started my new job. Well, started is hardly the right word… I’m part of a SCRUM team of 7 members. It’s been 8 days, and I don’t even have a LAN account; I have no user stories or product backlog from the customer. There is no way we can even plan anything yet.

But what I do have is a lunatic SCRUM-Master who gets to work at 6:30AM even though there is nothing to do. Then he bombards us with meaningless tasks all day every day. (He doesn’t even know how this client conducts its processes.) He lectures us, saying the same thing for up to four hours at a time. He has created major clashes within the team, a team that otherwise has no issues. I feel drained.

I wonder how to get this impediment removed?
